In 2006, our members averaged 13.36 accidents per 1000 workers employed, which compares very favourably to the reported rate for our industry of 64.3. While we continued to achieve results well ahead the industry, we noted an unacceptable high total of 7 fatalities; 4 from new sites whilst the remaining from RMAA works.

Given our target of less than 10/1000 and no fatalities by 2008, the target for 2007 is set at 11.5/1000.
